What People Are Saying About Cefalù
First you go up the mountain with its winding roads but great views, next stop is a small town where all the older gentlemen wait for the tour bus it's their excitement of the week! The town is quaint its great views of the sea, and a beautiful church. Then dinner, and that's when the party begins, great food, great wine, singing and music and getting to know your fellow tour folks. Just a great night all over, and Elizabeth was just great too.
Coach journey through the mountains to Corleone took about 1 1/2 hours. Ester was our guide. She is very friendly and helpful. Met up with another guide to take us around the museum and town in Corleone and she explained the history and background in great detail. It was very interesting and well worth the money. We only had 20 minutes to buy gifts or have a drink but we could have done with an hour so as not to rush.
A very enjoyable but hot afternoon wine tasting with Ester who is very friendly and informative. We had booked another trip and she was the guide also. Time spent in Castelbuono tasting nibbles and having a drink before moving onto the wine tasting. Very enjoyable with lovely views. Very steep hills! Tasted four wines before having opportunity to purchase some to take home. Excellent value for money and a lovely experience.
Very nice boat, services well organised, the islands are great and the boat makes some very nice panoramatic stops with explanations in many languages. In our opinion, it would be interesting to have more time to spend on Vulcano island. Unfortunately, we thought the guide would speak English but we have never seen her or him... we have only seen a Polish speaking guide.
We were surprised at first to be the only two English passengers on a bus full of Italian tourists but it was a lot of fun. We met people from all over Italy, they were very patient and kind with us. Our guide Riccardo worked very hard in both languages...wow. We saw everything we wanted to see in Sicily and the nice part is that we did not have to drive, we could relax and learn about the area through our guide's narratives. We really enjoyed it. The food was great for the most part except for the last day, the lunch was not very good so we found our own restaurant for dinner. I noticed that there were red wine drinkers who were not interested in the white wines, so maybe they should identify themselves at the beginning of the tour so the guide is aware of it. Our accommodations were all fine except for the first hotel in Palermo, it was quite noisy. I think it's an interesting way to organize a tour and would do it again. Thank you again for everything. Great job.
