A good choice for a short visit of the city. The price for the 2-day variant is roughly the same as a metro ticket from/to the airport (separate ticket) and a 10-rides ticket for metro. Discounts for museums are a nice extra value, I would say. I don't know if the lady giving me the card (in the tourist info at the airport) made a mistake, but I only got a blue "transport card" which worked on public transport (incl. the airport metro) and then in the museums and other places they asked me to show them "the red card" (Express card) which I didn't get. In most places showing them the map which comes together with the Express card was enough to get the discount, but they said I was supposed to have "the red card". So make sure that you get all you are supposed to get when picking up the card(s)!
The two tours were great. Our guide, Arnau, gave us background information on the area while driving to the monastery. He led us through the main sites and gave us time to get lunch, do a short hike, and visit the farm vendors to buy cheese and other food. At the winery, our tour guide, Silvia, was wonderful. We got a tour of the building and vaults as well as information about their wine-making process. The tasting was excellent. Arnau was a good driver, and we had a great day.
A great day . Our guide Rodrigo was a wealth of information and history on the area and Montserrat. We went to Pares Balta winery , a family owned operation for over 3 generations ,in the p.m. for an in depth look at organic wine and Cava making which included some tasting of their products. We would highly reccommend this tour company (Explore Catalonia ) and our guide Rod . Bill & Barb

Montserrat was beautiful and it was great getting out of the city for the day. This tour was one of our most memorable moments during our trip! Plus, having the freedom to hike and walk around for three hours was exactly what we were looking for. Our tour guide Anna was great and super informative. Highly recommend this tour it was well worth it!

This is a great day trip if you are interested in doing some hiking too. We had time to hike up to San Jeroni which was totally worthwhile with spectacular views at the top. It took us about 2 hours round trip and were able to have a quick bite before meeting our guide. Our visit to a family run winery was a perfect ending to the day!
