Vodice: Krka Waterfalls National Park Boat Tour

1. Vodice: Krka Waterfalls National Park Boat Tour

Depart by boat to the St Anthony Channel, admiring views of the St Nicholas fortress as you leave the port. In Šibenik, the boat will make a stop to pick up fresh mussels, before passing the Šibenik bridge. Continue along the estuary of the Krka river to Prokljan lake. Arrive in Krka at around 11.30 AM. National Park Krka encompasses 7 beautiful waterfalls and natural pools where you can take a refreshing dip. Beneath the Skradinski Buk waterfall, you can visit a hydroelectric power plant, the second oldest in the world, and the first one in Europe. The park is also home to a few cultural and historical monuments, such as a Franciscan monastery, and several old water mills. You will have plenty of free time to explore the full extent of the park. You can stop at one of the restaurants if you are hungry, or at the souvenir shop to buy some presents to take home. In the mid-afternoon, head back to the boat to start the return journey, returning to Vodice at approximately 5:00 PM.

Split/Trogir: Day-Trip to Šibenik and Zadar

2. Split/Trogir: Day-Trip to Šibenik and Zadar

Following pickup from your accommodation, your first stop will be the city of Šibenik. Whilst there, admire the ancient walls alongside the stunning backdrop of the Adriatic Coast. The most famous sight of Šibenik is undoubtedly the UNESCO-protected St. Jacob's cathedral, following which you can choose to walk around the stoned streets, buy some souvenirs, and enjoy a coffee on Riva Promenade. Your next stop is Zadar, the oldest continually inhabited city in Croatia. Evidence of human settlement there stretches all the way back to the 4th century B.C. This history passes through tribal, Greek, Roman, Venetian, and Italian rule, before its modern situation as a part of Croatia. Check out several historic monuments from the medieval and Renaissance periods, in addition to contemporary constructions such as the world's first sea organ. Once your busy day sightseeing comes to a close, your tour concludes with your guide returning you to your accommodation.

Very nice service. Our hosts offered us a glass of rakija from Vodice. Then a small boat arrived near the boat during our trip on the Krk river, the fisherman in the boat dropped us off a bag of mussels. The cook on board prepared them for us, it is very original and it will leave us with nice memories. Especially since all along the cruise we were lulled by Dalmatian music from the famous singer Oliver Dragojević. Arrived at the Krk Waterfalls we had a very nice natural spectacle. We had 3 hours of free time to visit the park. We had a great day. Thank you.

We truly enjoyed this day! The boat ride was peaceful and full spectacular scenery. We particularly loved the fresh mussels that were delivered and prepared on board for us right before the park by a happy crew. The timing was just right - we were not rushed theough the park but sadly, swimming is now banned in the park. Im so glad we booked the boat instead of a bus!

So really a great boat tour, a dream landscape anyway and the organization and crew really work well ... So price-performance ratio fits something like that! More than recommendable!

Very nice tour. Everything very relaxed. The national park is really beautiful, especially the waterfalls!

The park is a pure experience unfortunately the boat tour was a bit too long! Mussels were cooked great!
