A scenic drive along the west coast of St. Lucia takes you to the base of Gros Piton where you are welcomed by the local community. Joined by a knowledgeable guide you trek along a trail which winds around the mountain at a casual gradient.
What to Expect
A captivating one hour drive through picturesque fishing villages, along the scenic countryside takes you to the base of Gros Piton, a part of the island’s UNESCO World Heritage Site.
This mountain rises majestically out of the Caribbean Sea ever reaching to the heavens above. You will now begin an adventure of a lifetime as you seek to conquer the Mountain by reaching the summit of a Wonder of the World.
As you ascend, you will enjoy panoramic vistas from every angle. The unique flora & fauna provides a fascinating study as many species are endemic to the island. The bird-life is abundant and the mountain is replete with "Brigand" Camps, that form a part of the folklore and history of this incredible island. The View from the summit offers an unparalleled vista of St.Lucia and other nearby Caribbean islands on a clear day.
You then descend to the base of the mountain with uplifted spirits before rejoining the bus which will take you back to the hotel.
