Here, you will see a 15th century courtyard and a portal by Michele Sanmicheli. The current building dates back to the 16th century. Here, you will also see the restored tower which was a part of the original palace building. Located nearby is another square known as Piazza delle Erbe where you will come across the ancient town hall, judges hall and Mazzanti Houses with frescoes. An ancient fountain built by Cansignorio della Scala in 1368 adds to the charm of this square. Continue on to see the 84 meters tall tower with a spiral staircase known as Torre dei Lamberti. The construction of this tower dates back to the early 12th century. It was struck by lightning and was later reconstructed. Its large clock was added in the year 1779.
