Full description
Discover the famous 3,000-year-old medieval town of Carmona on a guided walking tour with an expert guide. Explore its palace-houses, Mudejar churches, and the three Alcazares as well as hidden gems that are loved by locals.   Once known as "the Star of Europe" by Julius Caesar, learn how different cultures such as that of the Carthaginians, Romans, Muslims, and Christians left a lasting legacy in every corner of the streets of Carmona.  Walk past the Puerta de Sevilla, which today is considered the oldest building that can be visited in Spain. See the Cardo Máximo from Roman times and the Plaza de San Fernando in the city center. Continue to the Church of Santa María and then to the Puerta de Córdoba to reach the Alcázar del Rey Don Pedro. Arrive at the old part of the city with its narrow streets, typical of a traditional Andalusian town, and admire the architecture of the Mudejar and Baroque churches. End the tour with stunning views of the Vega de Carmona at an excellent viewpoint location. Walk away from this experience with a great sense of the important monumental heritage that is the city of Carmona.
