Discover Cappadocia on a private full-day tour of the remarkable area. Visit the Goreme Open Air Museum, the Kaymakli Underground City, stroll through the Valley of the Pigeon Lofts, and enjoy some wine in Pasabag Valley among the mystical earth pillars.
What to Expect
Begin the day with a pick-up from your hotel and head over to the incredible Goreme Open-Air Museum. Resembling a vast monastic complex composed of scores of refectory monasteries placed side-by-side, each with its own fantastic church, Goreme is understandably the star attraction of any visit to the region.
Continue the tour to the fascinating Kaymaklı Underground City, built around nearly a hundred tunnels under the hill known as the Citadel of Kaymakli. Next, make your way to Uchisar for a walk through the beautiful valley, often called Valley of the Pigeon Lofts due to the thousands of pigeon houses carved into the soft tufa since ancient times.
Enjoy the magnificent panorama of the surrounding land at Mount Erciyes in the distance from the Uchisar Castle, and then continue the tour to Pasabag. Pasabag, meaning General's Vineyard, is located on the road to Zelve and filled with remarkable earth pillars and mushroom-shaped fairy chimneys. Stop for a taste of wine in the valley's vineyard before you make your way home.
