This 6-hour package combines 2 amazing activities. First, you'll step back in time at the Tulum Mayan ruins. Later, you'll swim and snorkel close to the marine turtles and a variety of multi-colored fish in the protected natural environment of Akumal Bay.
What to Expect
You’ll be picked up at your hotel in the morning and head to Tulum, where you'll be accompanied by a specialized bilingual guide. Experience pre-Hispanic civilization while learning about the history of this great Mayan city and its importance within Mayan culture.
Tulum is a walled city with one of the most stunning oceanfront views anywhere, and shares its natural and cultural treasures with the second-largest coral reef in the world.
Your next stop is beautiful Akumal Bay, which in Mayan means The Place of the Turtles. In less than a half-hour from Tulum you’ll be getting ready for a world-class snorkeling experience.
Akumal is a natural protected area with a world of beauty hidden beneath the warm turquoise waters. You’ll see a variety of colorful fish species, natural sinkholes with crystal clear water, underground caverns and rivers, lagoons and of course, the fascinating marine turtles, which you can swim alongside.
Stop to enjoy an exquisite Mexican lunch at one of the best restaurants in Akumal. Afterwards, you’ll head back to your hotel after a satisfying day spent in pursuit of culture and nature.
