I thoroughly enjoyed this tour. And I would highly recommend it to everyone! Our guide Carlos Solis was authentic and professional. His knowledge of Tulum was inspiring. His Mayan background made the stories poignant. Then at the Ecological Park we had fun that exceeded my expectations. As the name implies, it is a natural preserve. So it was the real deal. There were many cenotes and a beautiful small lake where we zip lined through natures beauty. And lunch was prepared by some of the Mayan people living in the park. You could not ask for a more authentic (non commercial) tour. Thanks to our driver Oscar whose quiet and steady driving got us home safely. And thank you to Carlos. It was an honor to meet you.

We turned out to be with the two of us and Saul was our guide. Funny, friendly and very knowledgable guy. We visited the archeological site of Coba and climed the highest building for a spectacular view. After that we visited several Maya communities and we felt very welcome. We experienced an interesting Maya ceremonie, spotted spider and howler monkeys, went down the zipline over a cenote and canoed for a while. No rush whatsoever. The highlight was a jump in a gorgeous cenote filled with turtles, carfish in a cave packed with swallows and bats! The food at the final Maya family was delicious and making the tortilla was a good laugh. We got more than we expected and it is good to know that also the Maya communities truly benefit from our visit (fare share). Highly recommended tour: ask for Saul!
