What People Are Saying About Câmara de Lobos
Highly recommend, the tour guide was very informative, and even waited for us 10 min .seeing that we were running late dew to unforseen circumstances.
A congenial guide with extensive knowledge of local flora and history turned the tour into a first-rate experience. He even played a small accordian at stops, to the delight of locals and tourists alike. His network of friends came into play by the warm way we were received at a small cafe in a remote mountain village (surely not on every tour). We were entertained and came away feeling that this guide was really sharing his deeply rooted love for his native island. The changeable weather did not detract from the tour at all.
My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed this tour. We found Nuns Valley to be most unique and we were totally fascinated with the wonderful scenery.
Since the group was very international, our guide Bruno, had to repeat everything three times: in Portuguese, English and German so that the tourists could get all the information in their respective languages. I speak everyone else's language, he spoke everyone else's language, but Bulgarian, and I felt underprivileged ;) As a matter of fact, Bruno was a great guide, the tour was interesting and fun: an easy way to get to know the western part of the island.
