Visit the pyramids of Giza and the great Sphinx, explore medieval Cairo and the old bazaars, walk along the street of Muizz ludin Allah and see the interesting medieval mosques and houses on its 2 sides as you shop from local Egyptian markets.
What to Expect
In the morning your tour guide will pick you up from your hotel in Cairo or Giza and then will directly move by a private car or bus to Giza plateau where you will visit the pyramids and the Sphinx. Listen to an introduction about the pyramids and ancient Egyptian history. Then you will stop by the great pyramid of King Cheops, which is the only wonder still standing from the 7 wonders of the ancient world.
After seeing the great pyramid you will move to a panoramic spot to get the best view of the pyramids of Giza and take interesting photos. After that you move to the Sphinx, where your tour guide will tell you about that mysterious sculpture and its history, passing by the valley temple, which you will see alongside the statue of King Cheferen.
After visiting the pyramids there will be an optional break for lunch, after which you will move to Old Cairo, where you will visit the Old Balthazar of Khan Al Khalili and the surrounding local markets, where you can shop for clothes and Egyptian souvenirs then extend your visit with a walking guided tour along Al Muizz LidinuAllah street, and see on its two sides the interesting medieval houses, suburbs and old mosques, and enjoy the medieval atmosphere. This walk will end at the old city gate of Bab Al Futouh, where the car will be waiting to take you back to your hotel.
