Full description
Enjoy a full-day tour exploring the history and culture of Egypt at the Egyptian Museum, Great Pyramids of Giza, and Great Sphinx. Then, shop for unique bargains in the historic Khan El Khalili Bazaar. An expert Egyptologist guide will be on hand at all times to offer helpful explanations of this most ancient of civilizations. Start your tour at the Egyptian Museum. Designed by the French architect Marcel Dourgnon, the museum is located in a handsome neo-classical building on Tahrir Square. Its collections exceed 120,000 masterpieces, ranging from the pre-dynastic era, to the Pharaonic and Greco-Roman periods. Undoubted highlights are the collection of rare treasures of King Tutankhamen, and the Mummies Room, which you can enter for a small extra charge. Continue to the Great Pyramids of Giza and Great Sphinx, the oldest of the 7 Wonders of the Ancient World, and the last still standing. Explore the Pyramids of Cheops, Chephren, and Mykerinus. Your guide will describe the story of their monumental construction, and tell you about their mysteries, before you explore inside one of the pyramids. Proceed to the Great Sphinx, imposingly standing in the desert sand after thousands of years. Admire the colossal structure, before moving to the Valley Temple of the Pyramid of Cephren. Drive back to central Cairo and end your day at the lively Khan El Khalili Bazaar. Master the art of bargaining for great prices on fine brassware, copper, perfumes, leather, silver, gold, and antiques. Lunch is included in this tour at local restaurant, but beverages are not included. The private tour includes the entry fees for the Giza Pyramids and Egyptian Museum. There is a possibility to ride a camel, visit inside the pyramids and see the Mummies room at the museum, but please note that this would be subject to an extra charge.

This was one of the best guided tours I’ve ever been on, in large part because we had an excellent tour guide named Nesma. We enjoyed the tour so much that we booked another one for the next day at Memphis, Saqqara, and Dashur with the same tour guide. We were picked up at our hotel by a car with a dedicated driver, in addition to the tour guide (no other visitors—just my group of 2). We then went straight to the Giza pyramids (including Sphinx) to beat the crowds/heat. Our tour guide took amazing photos and made recommendations about how to best use our time. We were then taken to a papyrus art house for a presentation and opportunity to buy the art. Next we went to lunch at a local restaurant, which was very good—chicken and lamb. The food was included, and although the drinks were not included, they were very cheap. Next, we went to the Egyptian Museum where our tour guide showed us all the most important artifacts and knew a lot of history. Then went to the bazaar.

One of the best tours I have taken in the world and for the best value. This tour is honestly underpriced. Not only did I have a very friendly tour guide (Maha) with good English that was informative but I had a personal driver the entire day taking us to all of the places. The tour guide was informative, taking pictures all over the place for me and allowing me to make requests throughout the day. She also bought snacks for me throughout the day and the ended with a delicious meal at a restaurant. Simply amazing for the price and the service was great.

It was a memorable experience! Noha was very patient with me and understand that I have limited time. She was able to make an adjustment and started the tour earlier than usual. She was able to manage the time that we have to cover the entire itinery ( we skipped the bazaar because I had been there through different tour ) and made sure that I arrived at the airport on time for my flight going back. I enjoyed the food in the restaurant we went to before heading to the airport. Noh was also the one who's more excited on taking pictures. I forgot the nme of our driver but he was a soft spoken one and took a good care of us.
