Discover the World Heritage-listed Daintree National Park on this small-group, full-day 4WD tour from the city of Cairns. Cruise the calm waters of the Daintree River, traverse the lush rainforest, and make a stop at the magical Cape Tribulation beach.
What to Expect
Departing from your accommodation in Cairns, travel through the rich farming areas that surround the city to the World Heritage-listed Daintree National Park. Start the tour off with a cruise down the mirrored smooth waters of the Daintree River and under the overhead canopy of the rainforest. Enjoy some morning Daintree tea and home-made muffins with fresh cream and jam and then board the river ferry to enter the magnificent rainforest region.
Once in the park, embark on a beautiful guided hike through the Alexandra Range and along the Jindalba boardwalk, learning about the aboriginal culture and rich biodiversity of the area as you go along. Continuing along to your next stop at the magical Cape Tribulation beach, where you guides will highlight the amazing wildlife and ecosystems unique to this part of the world. Lunch on tropical food deep under the rainforest canopy, followed by some more exploration and a dip in the crisp rainforest creek.
The last stop of the day will be to the amazing Alexandra Range Lookout for some outstanding panoramic views of the Daintree River, Snapper Island, and, on a clear day, Port Douglas.
