Travel up the coast to the smaller village of Port Lligat, where Dalí sought the peace and quiet that truly inspired him.  From Jul 1st - Aug 31st, the tour leaves Figueres for a delightful medieval coastal town where you can find lunch in one of the many local or traditional restaurants, before heading to Pubol Castle, once the home of Dalí and his wife Gala, located in the village of the same name.

The first visit will be in the Natural Park of Cap de Creus located to the North-East of the Iberian Peninsula, where we can enjoy from the cliffs of spectacular views over the Gulf of Roses. We can visit the lighthouse and walk around to see the vegetation and rocky formations that characterize it (between June and September this part of the Natural Park is closed due the high risk of fire). After we will go to Cadaqués, the place more often reproduced in paintings by Dalí and where the artist lived for many years (cala de Portlligat). we will be able to walk through the town, its streets made with spike-shaped stones, its beaches and visit the Church of Santa Maria located in the highest area of the village. After lunch we will visit the impressive monastery of Sant Pere de Rodes, situated in a privileged place, in the Verdera mountains, within the Rodes mountains chain at 520m high with a visual domain of the Bay of Port de la Selva and the northern part of the massif of Cap de Creus. The origin of the monastery is wrapped by the legends, linked to archaeological and historical questions, gives the site a certain air of mystery. part of the legend, the monastery and in particular his Church is regarded as one of the main exponents of the Romanesque in Catalonia for their great originality.

Departure from Barcelona at the scheduled time from your hotel. Arrival at the DALI Museum in Figueres, where the surrealist world awaits you. This museum, designed by Dalí himself, is a work of art in itself, with its extravagant facade and unique installations that capture the essence of the famous artist. At the museum we will spend time admiring some of Dalí's most famous works, including paintings, sculptures and several mind-challenging installations. For those of you who are not museum lovers, we can assure you that the Dalí Museum exceeds all expectations, not only for his paintings, but for his way of understanding the world of art. We will continue our route to the village of Cadaqués, the most beautiful village in Spain. Cadaqués is a charming seaside village on the Costa Brava, famous for its breathtaking scenery and its connection to the artist Salvador Dalí. Time for lunch. Optionally we can opt for a premium restaurant specializing in fish. After refreshments, we will explore the center of the village with the Church of Santa Maria, located in the upper part of the old town, offering breathtaking views of Cadaqués and the Mediterranean Sea. In a 1 hour walk through the cobblestone streets we will discover some stories and legends of pirates and Indians that will transport us to other times. Cadaqués is known for its white houses with blue doors and windows, which create a magical atmosphere. Enjoy the quiet atmosphere on your own for 30 minutes as you explore the small craft stores and art galleries that dot the center of town. This walk will allow you to capture the essence of Cadaqués and its Mediterranean charm. On our way back to Barcelona, we will pass through the city of Girona. We will begin our tour at the Stone Bridge (Pont de Pedra), an iconic place to enjoy the panoramic views of the Onyar River and the famous colorful houses that line its banks. From there, we continue to Barri Vell, Girona's old town, which is a maze of narrow cobblestone streets full of history. Here we will see the exterior facade of the Cathedral of Girona, known for its impressive baroque facade and for having the widest gothic nave in the world. And of course the scene of the movie Game of Thrones. We will finish the tour walking along the walls of Girona. This walk will offer spectacular views of the city and its surroundings. The walls are accessible from several points of the old town and provide a unique perspective of how the city was defended in the past. Finally, we will close this adventurous day by returning to Barcelona.
