What People Are Saying About Cabo Girao Cliff
I've seen many things on Madeira during this holiday, and definitely Dolphin and Whale Watching Tour was the best of them all. Weather was a little breezy and coldish, but it didn't matter, when the boat staff pointed to a group of bottlenose dolphins playing with waves. In a few moments we had a chance to see some whales hunting for fish. Two guys been sitting on mast doing great job finding the animals in the sea. Staff gave me a blanket, as I wasn't prepared for the temperature that dropped much during the cruise. People on the front sits got soaked by the water (still warm in the January) and they immediately been given towels and a poor girl who was having sea sickness also got help at once. Pilot of the boat was very happy to share interesting stories about Madeira and give us some tips and tricks useful later on the rest of holiday stay. Playful group of short-beaked common dolphins on the way back was a nice surprise for everybody and perfect finish for the trip.
Since the group was very international, our guide Bruno, had to repeat everything three times: in Portuguese, English and German so that the tourists could get all the information in their respective languages. I speak everyone else's language, he spoke everyone else's language, but Bulgarian, and I felt underprivileged ;) As a matter of fact, Bruno was a great guide, the tour was interesting and fun: an easy way to get to know the western part of the island.
We have seen a turtle and two dolphins - no whales. The trip was ultimately fun with the opportunity to swim at one of the highest seacliffs of the world. Would do it anytime again.
