What People Are Saying About Cabo da Roca
Our half-day tour was filled with fascinating information, beautiful sightseeing, all of which was facilitated by our guide. He gave us a sense of history that you don't find in books. It was a rare experience, one that we will cherish forever.
driver collected us at hotel on time, he was very knowledgeable and courteous throughout and stopped anywhere on journey we requested. This is an ideal way to see sintra and surrounding areas particularly for people who may be less mobile and have difficulty with climbing steep slopes.I would highly recommend this trip to anyone who does not feel up to sitting on a bus for 9 hours.
We had a rough start to the day as my girlfriend wasn't feeling very well. Agnes (one of the guides) was eager to help and find a solution. They picked us up later that day when we were feeling better and we did the entire tour anyway! Something we didn't expect due to the time. Agnes and Paolo showed us a lot of great places and were able to tell us a lot about the history of the quinta & palace(s). They also brought a nice lunch with local food. Overall it was a great experience with two people who were eager to make our day a good day. We had a great time and we would recommend these guides and this tour to everyone going to Lisbon/Cascais/Sintra.
The tour was just great ! All the attractions were really worth of seeing, and looked exactly how they were advertised ! And all members of our family were truly satisfied with it ! Big bonus was having a tour guide in person of Jose.Jose is a very charming man who is a fountain of knowledge about the region, events what took place there and all of it he serves with interesting anectodes and good-hearted humour. Sintra is a beautiful place full of interesting historical sites. If you have a day to spare taking a tour is a good choice as you can visit more places than you normally would going there on your own.And you can do it at pleasant, relaxing pace without worrying about how to move around without unneccesary wasting your limited time ... Wine tasting was also good but our suggestion would be to have few more wines added to the tasting. The local wines are very unique so it is a rare opportunity to taste them , and I guess it could help to increase their sales abroad too.
I booked my trip online the afternoon prior to my tour, and had no problems with any of the confirmations or knowing exactly where I needed to be for my pick-up time. I love the fact that they pick you up at your hotel! The owner, Nuno, was very knowledgeable about the area we visited, had great suggestions, was very flexible and stopped wherever we wanted so that we could take photos. If I ever return, I will definitely book this company again. It was a truly intimate way to see Sintra with the added benefit of pretty much having a private guide that knew the city inside and out. Thank you Nuno!!
