Full description
Depart at 11: 00 AM from the town of Bugibba and journey towards the island of Comino by boat. Enjoy the incredible views of Malta from the open sea and cruise close to the shore to check out the island's magnificent coastline and enormous rugged cliffs. Pass the tiny St. Paul’s Island and catch sight of the statue of the apostle Saint Paul that rises high into the sky. Stop to view the island's alluring sea caves and photos before getting underway again. Arrive at the famous Blue Lagoon, where the crisp turquoise waters are clearer than a swimming pool, making it a must-see stop on a hot summers day. Then it's anchors away, as you head to the island of Gozo. Upon arrival on Gozo Island, enjoy three hours of free time to fill as you wish, or opt to purchase a land-transport ticket for a small added charge. The land transport will take you to one of two fabulous locations where you will then have over two hours to explore. Discover the fascinating capital of Gozo, Victoria, with a history that dates back to the Neolithic times.  Xlendi is a small, picturesque seaside village located in the south west of the island of Gozo with a charming bay surrounded by gigantic cliffs and dotted with small and large caves that you can explore. Enjoy panoramic views from the tops of the cliffs. Xlendi also offers a number of very good restaurants, coffee bars, and souvenir shops.

Boat trip was great, spectacular coastline and two excellent locations to swim in the sea (blue lagoon and another, quieter bay further along the island) Gozo 'sightseeing' trip was a bit of a misnomer - for an additional €5 we were taken to Gozo Town in a minivan, where the surly driver informed us we had to be back at the pick up point for 16:30. This gave us enough time to find the citadel and have a wandering around (which was very good) before heading back to the minivan. I'm pretty sure a couple of folk were left behind because they didn't get back in time. Then off to the blue lagoon to have an hour before heading back to Bugibba.

The boat gets quite crowded, at least in August period. It is a good itinerary that would work better with less people, in a less crowded season for the blue lagoon. When you get in they offer 2 options for an extra 5 euros: minibus ticket to Gozo capital or sunbeds in the Blue Lagoon which was extremely crowded (sunbeds were 10 cm from each other). The staff was very nice to offer us free fresh pinneaple on the boat.

When I bought the tour there was a transfer to take the boat. I had to take a taxi, because they said it was far from the Hotel and the transfer was not included. Very poorly attended and on the return there was a transfer, however I was informed that as I had gone by taxi I had to return by taxi or bus. The previous day I had done practically the same tour and they picked me up at the Hotel and open bar.
