What people are saying about Buenos Aires

The check-in process for the crossing was very smooth if a bit long-winded but the voyage there and back was easy. The original guide dropped out at short notice but the company was able to organise an excellent replacement. One thing to note is that you don’t really need any Uruguayan pesos, and indeed many restaurants will give you a discount if you pay with a foreign (Visa) credit card. This is because foreigners do not have to pay a sales tax of 14.4%.

We bought ferry tickets across to Colonia for a day trip. I bought the tickets online through Get your Guide. The tickets were cheaper with Get your guide than at the port. We didn’t need to print anything out, just turn up at the port with our reservation number (sent by colonia express) and passports. It was a very efficient process, we didn’t have to queue to check in we could just print out tickets from the auto check in with our reservation number.

Eugenia did an excellent job, firstly in finding us on time among 4.5 thousand passengers on a busy wharf. Her driver and the car were clean and driven well. Her English was very good and she accommodated our requests. She was very knowledgeable and personable. Highly recommended. Our only suggestion is to provide bottled water on hot days.

One of the best wildlife parks that I have been to. The layout and the trees providing a shady walk though the park made it a comfortable tour. The maintenance and cleanliness of the animal enclosures as well as their size was a delight to see. The staff were friendly and helpful.

Margarita and Maria were fabulous team of guide/driver . The places we visited we informative and fun.
