Experience the scenic beauty of the Romanian countryside as you travel through the Prahova Valley on this half-day trip to Peles Castle. The neo-Renaissance Castle is located in the Carpathian Mountains, near Sinaia, and is considered one of the most luxurious castles in the world.
The construction of the castle began in 1875 and was completed in 1883. It has a total of 160 rooms, and is opulently decorated, featuring ebony, walnut, leather, and mother of pearl. The castle houses invaluable collections of art and furniture.
One of Romania's most beautiful palaces and once the summer residence of the Romanian kings, it now houses one of Romania's most important museums.
Peles Castle is the final resting place of several Romanian monarchs, including King Carol I, who died here in 1914, as well as King Ferdinand, and Queen Maria.
