What to Expect
Enjoy a scenic drive along the west coast of Barbados on a combined island tour and beach stop, and see the beautiful homes of the rich and famous of the island’s famous Gold Coast.
Your guide will pick you up from your hotel on the island and transfer you by air-conditioned van down the stunning west coast, lined with the luxury homes and villas of the island's wealthy.
Stop at St. James's Church, the oldest church on Barbados, built in 1628 close to where the first settlers landed. You will also go to Rock Hall, the oldest village on Barbados that was set up by freed slaves in the 19th century. Continue to the Highland lookout for panoramic views, before driving to the fishing village of Bathsheba on the rugged east coast.
After refreshments in Bathsheba, continue through the tropical interior, passing sugar cane plantations en route to the pristine white sand beaches of the south coast. Relax for a few hours at Carlisle Bay, or snorkel and swim with the turtles.
