Bran Castle (Romanian: Castelul Bran; German: Törzburg; Hungarian: Törcsvár), situated near Bran and in the immediate vicinity of Braşov, is a national monument and landmark in Romania. The fortress is situated on the border between Transylvania and Wallachia, on DN73. Commonly known as "Dracula's Castle"

The castle is now a museum open to tourists, displaying art and furniture collected by Queen Marie. Tourists can see the interior individually or by a guided tour. At the bottom of the hill is a small open air museum park exhibiting traditional Romanian peasant structures (cottages, barns, etc.) from across the country.

The Bats' Cave is an easy cave to visit, has a length of 370m of which 109m of active gallery and a dishevelment of 10m. The access to the cave is through a narrow corridor that goes into a cave, not very high, with upward floor. From there a gallery starts, to the north, which has a length of 15m and ends with a horn. The cave is a warm one with moderate humidity and is sprinkled with many limestone formations, the 'tears of the earth' and with rooms that have ceiling of different color. Through the cave runs a full little stream full of mud. Although special equipment is not required, a flashlight is sufficient, you should have a protective gear to avoid smudging with clay and traces of guano, droppings of bats, justified the existence of numerous bats in the cave solitary or grouped in colonies.

The Piatra Craiului mountains form a narrow and saw-likeridge, which is about 25 km (16 mi) long. The highest elevation in the massif is the "Vârful La Om" at 2,238 metres (7,343 ft).

The ridge is regarded as one of the most beautiful sites in the Carpathians. The two-day north–south ridge trail is both challenging and rewarding. Starting at eitherPlaiul Foiiin the north-west or Curmătura in the north-east, walkers climb up to the ridge before following a somewhat precarious path along the narrow spine. The descent at the southern end leads into akarstlandscape of deep gorges and pitted slopes where water penetrating the rock has carved a series of caves.

Namaiesti Monastery is placed in the Namaiesti village, near Campulung. Its history says that it was built on a rock, in the mountains, where a hermit found a sacred image of Virgin Mary, which makes miracles. People from all over the country come and pray here. The monastery is small and nice, but what I liked most was the view: all around it you can see the mountains that penetrate the sky. .

Cetatuia Negru Voda Monastery: In a place that offers visitors a beautiful view, a retired area which has no connection with human daily life, lost among the ancient forests and steep cliffs at a height of over 880 meters, people looking for silence withdrew in silent shadows of caves and have dedicated their lives to God in the most harsh Romanian hermitage, since "the Romanian people wealthy endowed with divine gift of faith lived in the Carpathians as a cathedral.

Eigth day:Cetatuia Monastery - Corbii de Piatra Monastery - Brasov  Travel time around 5 hours. Level difference 300m. The trip is made by foot and by bus.

Corbii de piatra (The Stone Ravens). That is the way this place was named before and an endless history protects it with a wing. Well, this way, here, in Corbi village you have the feeling that you get sunk in the past, that crowds of unclear shadows haunt these enigmatic realms, stangely mixing with the people from this place.

The rupestral church Corbii de Piatra known with good reason an enigma, won't allow you to discover it, so you have to go and see it, to pay astonishment tribute in front of it's beauty. Embeded in stone, hidden as a cave in the mountain's wall, it doesn't resemble anything: neither the rupestral cells from Bozioru, nor the cave from Namaiesti, nothing. The earliest dating of the rupestral church, as an orthodox dwelling creed, date from the end of the II nd century A.D., when it is believed thet the church was perfectly adapted for those times of persecutions, beeing well hidden, having no connection with the outside, except for a small door towards North, which was well hidden and it could be entered only on all fours.
