Full description
Once you have arrived in Bran village, a staff member will take care of you and provide you with your fast-track ticket and your ticket for the audio-guide, which you will receive inside the location. Bran Castle has more than 50 rooms but most of them closed between 2006 and 2009 when Queen Maria’s grandchildren inherited the castle from the Romanian government. Now, 19 of the rooms are open to the general public. There is also a secret passage. Explore the Gards room, Queen’s apartment, King’s apartment, Catellan’s office, music room, the apartments of Princess Ileana and Prince Nicolae, and more.
Make your way through the rooms at your own pace with your audio guide. There are a couple of places along the way for excellent photograph opportunities. The Queen’s Loggia on the 3rd floor has a view of the courtyard. The terrace on the 4th floor has a mind-blowing view of the Sothern part of the complex and the mountains on the horizon. End your tour in the courtyard by the well where you return the audio guide. Afterward, you can either hang out in the castle for longer or have a nice relaxing walk in the Royal garden located on the north side of the castle.
