What to Expect
Discover the Médoc region and the vineyards of Margaux on a day-long tour. You are free to explore grand-cru châteaux as well as cute and quirky, less-well-known areas.

Direct yourself at the wheel of a cabriolet. With its boot ready to store your purchases, this two-seater is perfect to visit châteaux. Its hood protects you from the summer sun but there is nothing to stop you from folding it back for a truly open-air drive. It is a safe, open and awe-inspiring. The bespoke tablet-based multimedia guide offers geo-located commentary on all the points of interest you come across so that you don't miss anything. Quality content is available, including small anecdotes and historical information that let you in on Bordeaux and its vineyards' secrets. With GPS navigation and route memory, you have the option to go off the beaten track and the freedom to make detours.

Take your cabriolet convertible for a drive through the villages of the Médoc, travel along the banks of the Gironde estuary, lined with beautiful “chatreuses”, former holiday estates, then follow the legendary Médoc châteaux route to Margaux and its many Grands Crus Classées. You will go at your own pace as you explore the heart of this unique territory, dotted with small family estates and many prestigious châteaux. A stop at a family estate will reveal all the secrets of wine-making and age-old traditions. Naturally, you will have the opportunity to taste the wine made at the estate. In the heart of the Médoc, you will also visit a Grand Cru Classé. You will take a tour of the property, the wine storehouses, and the fermenting room to find out how Bordeaux’s finest wines are made.

Fancy having lunch at an open-air café along the river, a quaint village inn, or a gastronomic restaurant? It’s up to you! Great local restaurants are indicated along the way… You are guided, but free to make stops or detours as and when you please. Start your journey back to Bordeaux, but don’t forget to stop along the way at the Châteaux Giscours gardens, which are open to the public.
