What people are saying about Bogotá

We enjoyed the tour and our guide Alex was thoughtful and interesting. The guide met us on time at Park 93. The bus was very comfortable and the driver was very good. We started the tour by going to the cathedral in Zipaquirá. The guide brought us there first so we could see the cathedral while it was open. Then we went to the salt mine where we started a self guided tour. Our guide explained to us about the things to do in the mine which included seeing the stations of the Cross, the cathedral, a movie about the history of the salt mine, a light show, an emerald mine simulation and a Virtual reality show, all of which were included. It was a lot of fun and had plenty of time to do it all. The guide met us at the end of the tour, and asked who was interested in lunch. He took us to a very good restaurant where we got a drink and a very generous portion of choices of meals for 35k each. We then toured the city of Zipaquirá with our guide and he gave us some free time to wander.

The walking tour was amazing. We really enjoyed learning about all the different foods from the different regions in Colombia. And they were really healthy portions. The foods were so delicious and as an added bonus our fantastic guide Yuli took us down streets with graffiti. It was almost two tours in one! I definitely recommend this tour if you want to learn about food history in Colombia. Ask for Yuli! She was the absolute best and was very personable. We would definitely do this tour again!

Expect the unexpected, its a great experience. Try to get a tour guide inside the mine. Probably 2.5 hour isn’t enough time to admire the whole beauty of the Salt Mine, so I recommend spend more that 3 hours Also I highly recommend having lunch at one of Zipaquira best Asados de Carne restaurant, La Tejedora And you can`t missed the visit to Museo Del Bachillerato on downtown Zipaquira, where the famous writer Gabriel Garcia Marquez spend part of his life attending to High School.

My first tour in Bogotá was an amazing experience. I especially have to thank Mónica and Andrea for teaching me some of the history of Bogotá and the projects of the Comuna neighborhoods. There’s plenty of beautiful views, people, and art to see. I like to be amongst the people and see the heart of a city, and this tour does that.

The tour was fantastic and I highly recommend it. It was so enjoyable seeing the neighborhood and learning about the history. Juan was an amazing tour guide. He communicated very well regarding the meeting place and kept us informed of the day’s agenda. If you were thinking of doing the tour, don’t think do it!
