Malta: Comino, Blue Lagoon & Gozo - 2 Island Boat Cruise

1. Malta: Comino, Blue Lagoon & Gozo - 2 Island Boat Cruise

Depart from the Bugibba Jetty and begin your cruise along the northern coast of Malta. Pass by all of the sights including St. Pauls Islands and the statue of St. Pauls, and Ahrax Point.  Continue cruising through the north channel of Comino as you pass by the elephants head, Santa Maria Bay, St. Nicholas Bay, and the Comino hotel. Make quick stops to enter inside both Ahrax Cave and Santa Maria Cave. Throughout the journey, Kevin and his father, Captain Joe, will inform you about the sites and give you information regarding Malta. After approximately 1 hour, arrive on Comino island in the famous Blue Lagoon. The boat will moor up and you can enjoy a stop of 1.5 hours. During your time, feel free to use all the facilities on board the boat or get off and explore the island. Relax and sunbathe on the top deck or find some shade on the main deck. Take a refreshing plunge into the cool, crystal clear water. Take advantage of male and female toilet facilities, lockers, and the cafeteria which serves hot and cold beverages.  After the time at Comino, head off to the island of Gozo and stop for 3 hours. During your stop in Gozo you are free to explore Mgarr Harbour and the surroundings or get on a local bus to Victoria the capital city of Gozo. Another option is to book the minibus/bus shuttle service. With this option, you will see Malta's highlights. You will stop for one hour and 15 minutes at the capital city Victoria where you can explore the UNESCO-listed Citadella building, then at Dwejra for 40 minutes, home to the inland sea and the Blue Hole. This is also where the Azure Window used to be and where Game of Thrones season one was filmed. The stops do not include guided tours; the driver will drop you off at each location and allow you time to explore at your leisure. At the end of the 3 hours, return to the boat at the Mgarr Harbour and continue the cruise back to Malta through the south channel of Comino. Cruise by the Crystal Lagoon and caves, and pass by St. Mary's Tower. Hotel accommodation transfers are available from certain locations for a fee, and must be booked directly with the operator after booking.

From Bugibba: Blue Lagoon Afternoon Swim with Sunset Cruise

2. From Bugibba: Blue Lagoon Afternoon Swim with Sunset Cruise

Avoid the crowds and visit the Blue Lagoon later on during the day when the temperature’s have dropped a little. This excursion is perfect for those who want to snorkel, swim and splash around in the crystal clear shallow waters of the Blue Lagoon during the cooler period of the day. Enjoy the magical cyan colored waters of the Blue Lagoon, which are especially tempting in the late afternoon as the hot Mediterranean sun has been warming it all day long, resulting in the water temperature being very similar to the air temperature. Take advantage of the onboard water-slide and have some fun frolicking in the waters to escape the warm weather. Or if you’d rather relax, spend some time lounging on the boat with a drink on one of the many cushioned recliners. Finally on the way back to port, enjoy the rocking of the calm sea waves, admire the magnificent Mediterranean coastline, and marvel at the stunning sunset across the ocean, glistening over the waters and reflecting from the enormous Maltese cliffs.

We had a great day. We would certainly recommend. We done Blue Lagoon/Comino but then went on to Gozo for few hours whilst others stayed at Comino. Others have commented on extras like bus transfer on Gozo for 5 euro. There is no pressure at all to take them up on any of their offers but we did and we found it great. We paid for the transfer and stopped off at Victoria, left to do our own thing for around 1 hour 40 mins, then picked back up and took to the Open Sea for a short while before being taken back to the boat. We found it very easy and convenient. You can of course hop on a local bus either if you prefer. There's an option to go out on a speedboat for 20 mins at Comino (takes you through caves and gives you some interesting facts) for 10 euros too which again we did. It's a great way for a company to make the trip affordable for all by paying for the basic and adding extras if you want them. There was certainly no hard sell in board. Overall it's a great trip!

The tour was well organized and great fun! Nice crew, great tour, great places and good music on board! Gladly again! Prices for food and drink on the boat are absolutely fine. Thanks for the great day! :) So far, I've only had great experiences with GetYourGuide worldwide!

Super cool. The boat ride is very nice, and long. The skipper and his crew are super friendly and helpful. There's time to explore both islands and still enjoy the sun and crystal clear water!

Lovely day and very organized! The boat was really clean and the drinks onboard and time allocated to each place is very good. Also the €5 Gozo bus tour is well worth it

Awesome! They do everything they can to explain it succinctly. Humor is certainly present. It was one of the best days in Malta. Highly recommended
