Full description
Marvel at spectacular landscapes and natural wonders such as geysers, waterfalls, volcanic craters, and more on this 11-hour Golden Circle tour. Start your day with a visit to the unique Thingvellir National Park, a place of both natural wonder and historical importance. The area is a part of the mid-Atlantic ridge, where the American and Eurasian tectonic plates and you can actually take a walk between the two continents. Stop to see the Haukadalur and Strokkur geysers as well as the Great Geysir itself, which gives the others their name. Strokkur erupts every 5-10 minutes with a column of water that reaches heights of 20-30 meters. Next, view the breathtaking Gullfoss Waterfall and its grandeur as the waterfall drops 32 meters into a weathered canyon. After, take in the vista of the large Kerid volcanic crater, which is filled with aquamarine water. The 3000-year old Kerid Crater lake surrounded by red volcanic rock makes a striking picture. End the day at the Blue Lagoon (entrance not included), for a relaxing time in the geothermal waters.

We were 20 people/persons in the bus. We had a great guide. Our guide introduced us all to each other… Our first names and where we came from. The weather wasn’t great, but the country still so beautiful. It was perfect to end the day in the warm water at the Blue Lagoon when the sun finally decided to pop out.

The tour was nice, only the driver was not the best driver. At the beginning it was pretty bad for us and towards the end we had to stop because a lady wasn't doing well. We also got used to it at the time. Otherwise the tour was very nice, but a little more time in some places would have been better

Beautiful sights

Definitely worth of doing this excursion when visiting Iceland. The nature and the sights are amazing. The guide Reynir was excellent! He spoke good English and explained very interesting things about Iceland and the views around us. Only minus was the weather, it was a stormy weather so Blue Lagoon wasn't a good experience. Also some stops could have been shorter and that way it wouldn't have had to be so long day. Anyway, a great day!
