At Blenheim Palace your tour begins with an introduction to the upstairs and downstairs of a class-conscious life. Built in the early 18th century for the first Duke of Marlborough, John Churchill, this historic stately home was the birthplace of Winston Churchill in 1874. Discover how the aristocracy lived and how the state apartments increased in importance, as you move from room to room. After the tour of the house, there will be time for a walk through the landscaped gardens to see the Temple of Diana where Sir Winston Churchill proposed to Clementine Hozier in 1908.

The trip was delightful! It was wonderful to not have to think about planning and executing a trip through the Cotswolds, and the incredible knowledge of our guide made it all the more worth while. 5 stars all around, though I wish the seats in the van had different seatbelts, every time I buckled in it felt like a test of my strength! Otherwise the trip was entirely worth it and I would do it again, even with the seatbelts as they were!

Our guide was fantastic. She was extremely knowledgeable, knew all about the history of the places we visited and saw en route and had a great sense of humour as well. I don’t think we should have spent a little more time at downtown abbey and shown around a bit more.

Our guide James was very informative and interesting, and our driver Dave drove the bus well and was very pleasant. We would definitely recommend this tour - beautiful scenery, lovely sites - a great day trip from London.

It is a beautiful little house I missed more time to see more.

The guide was really funny and keep us interested all trip.
