What You'll Do
  • Learn to sail along one of the most beautiful coastlines in the world
  • Practice all major sailboat functions under the guidance of an expert instructor
  • Be on the lookout for whales and dolphins
Take a practical group sailing course along the estuary of Bilbao on the Vizcaya Coast, and learn to perform all sailboat functions. Your expert instructor will teach you about the rudder and mainsail, genoa calibrating, and more on this half-day program.
What to Expect
This program, conducted at the mouth of the Bilbao Riviera, is designed for a group of up to 5 participants who will have the opportunity to learn all the main sailing functions.

The mouth of the Bilbao Riviera is bounded by 2 cliffs with watchtowers that at one time served to detect vessels approaching the Port of Bilbao. They were also important in the whaling practices of the 14th-15th centuries to spot whales for the small, fragile boats that were the whaling craft during that period.

On this 4-hour course, an expert instructor will teach you how to perform all sailboat functions, including the handling of the rudder and mainsail, genoa calibrating, bearings, courses, and more.

Learn to sail along the spectacular Vizcaya Coast that’s home to blue whales, fin whales, sperm whales, humpback whales, killer whales, beaked whales, and dolphins.
