What people are saying about Berlin

Cute, interactive museum - great for kids

Quite a popular museum with some interesting facts. There is a variety of interactive exhibits which are great for children especially. Most of what is available is in both English and German, however there were some video interviews which were in German and didn't have English subtitles or voiceovers. I also found it incredibly frustrating that when you exit you end up in the gift shop/cafe which is not attached to the original entrance. At the entrance there are lockers - so if you've used these lockers you need to go outside to get back to them. On a day when it's raining this is especially annoying

A lot of fascinating things - too much to see everything in one visit

Amazing array of objects. Some interesting short films too. Very striking space - part-restored but with evidence of Berlin’s history shown by the battering the building has taken. There is a cafe but it’s dark and not that welcoming - somewhere to get a drink at least. Not an over-friendly atmosphere as those on duty pace around you very obviously as you’re looking. Pleased to see the bust of Nefertiti. Hadn’t realised the Schliemann gold from Troy is not there (tho they display copies) - though other more ordinary things from those excavations are.

One of the best museums with regard of this part of history.

A historic place, very good source for information about why this could happen. Very good texts, even you are interested in history, as me for example, and have already seen a lot concerning this part of our history you will be surprised about even new exponats or articles. In my opinion, it is for sure a must visit place. You can also feel the extraordinary good Team spirit of the staff. Honestly, take your time and don't leave the city without being there before. Excellent!

Excellent and engaging description of the rise and fall of Hitler

You should calculate 3 hours for the whole tour, audio recommended. Please be aware that you will see pictures of People before and after execution that you might find disturbing. I was moved to tears by some of the displays and appreciate the historic detail that has gone into this tour.

Brilliant exhibition in the most apt setting.

The most concise, wide-ranging and well presented exhibition on a much-travelled subject you could find. Full of details that haven't been widely pushed and some images that will really do make you ask how it could have happened. Thought this was a highlight of our stay in Berlin.
