What to Expect
Experience the highlights of Berlin with the easily accessible public transport and explore the German capital by train, metro, and tram. Begin your tour at the Brandenburg Gate and Potsdamer Platz. You then travel to Gendarmenmarkt on the metro, where you get a guided tour of the French Cathedral. Enjoy the views from the lookout in the tower at 40 meters high.
Here you can see the most beautiful sights from a different perspective, such as Potsdamer Platz, the Reichstag building with the glass dome, the Berlin Cathedral, the TV Tower and the high-rise buildings at Alexander Platz, the Rotes Rathaus, Tempelhof and Kreuzberg, the Charité building, Prenzlauer Berg with its many church towers, Nikolaiviertel, and much more.
Alternatively, you can enjoy a coffee at Gendarmenmarkt if you do not want to go up the tower steps. You then explore Schlossplatz, the Foreign Office, the construction site of the palace, and the boulevard Unter den Linden with the Neue Wache, the State Opera, and Humboldt University. You will also see Museum Island, the Friedrichstadt-Palast, and the Berliner Ensemble.
The people of the city and their history and stories are a main focus of the tour. Discover what was invented in the capital and how many prominent Berliners there are. You finish the tour on the River Spree, opposite Friedrichstrasse train station, and get a few suggestions on how to enjoy the rest of your day.
