Full description

Pre-book your reserved entry at the Käfer restaurant and enjoy an appero (pre-dinner drinks and snacks) at your own table on top of the Reichstag building, home to the German parliament.

Take a seat at the world’s only parliament building with a restaurant open to the public and get bird's eye views of the city as you feast on some delicacies. Start by choosing from three different tarts. 

 

Get served even more delicious treats, which vary depending on the season, such as pastrami sandwiches and a vegetarian lentil hummus sandwich.

Enjoy a glass of prosecco and unlimited coffee or tea along with your snacks. After your meal, feel free to explore the inside of the Reichstag glass dome (audio guides are available free of charge).

Your experience takes place at the Käfer. Entry is by the visitor reception center on Scheidemannstraße, where the first security check takes place. Please be punctual as entry cannot be guaranteed for latecomers.

The experience was expensive considering the amount of food we got, but the service and view were great. You get a choice of three desserts, and the two we had (the pear cheesecake and the chocolate mousse selection) were delicious. Aside from that you get 4 tiny crackers with hummus and other various toppings. Smaller than hors d’ouvres size but not bad tasting. And then you get 3 little sweet bites of dessert. To drink there is Prosecco and unlimited hot drinks including lattes, cappuccino, tea, coffee, hot chocolate etc. It was presented very beautifully, like afternoon tea. We enjoyed it but I feel like it was a bit overpriced.

It was a lovely place to have high tea and get to walk to the top of the dome. The restaurant staff were lovely and the food was a nice selection.
