Learn about Berlin's most famous sights from your tour guide in both English and German and feel free to ask questions along the way. Gain an overview of the city, discover interesting facts, and hear countless anecdotes.

If you start on Kurfürstendamm, for example, pass by the Kaiser Wilhelm Memorial Church and continue on along Tauentzienstraße, home of the KaDeWe department store and numerous other stores. The route then travels across Lützowplatz and the embassy district, then through Tiergarten to the Berlin Philharmonic and Kulturforum.

The next stop is historic Potsdamer Platz, which was separated by the Berlin Wall until November 1989. Experiencing the vibrant atmosphere and seeing the newly constructed building reminiscent of those in New York City, it is difficult to imagine that they once lay in the middle of the so-called “death strip.” The Legoland Discovery Center and a Dali exhibition are also located at Potsdamer Platz.

From Potsdamer Platz, continue on to other places in the city of equal importance to Berlin’s history. On Niederkirchner Straße you will find Berlin’s State Parliament and the Martin-Gropius-Bau – one of the most important museums in the city – as well as the Topography of Terror and the Federal Ministry of Finance. At the stop on Zimmerstraße see the so-called “High Flyer” hot air balloon.

Then, head to Checkpoint Charlie, a former border crossing where a permanent exhibition now commemorates the Cold War. From here, visit the Currywurst Museum - just a few minutes away by foot.

From Friedrichstraße, travel to one of the most beautiful places in Berlin – Gendarmenmarkt. Here there are many cafés, the German and French Cathedrals, and the former concert hall. State visits are also conducted here and you might even spot celebrity or two.

After the TV Tower, which is visible from far away, arrive at the famous Alexanderplatz. Stop at the Neptune Fountain and where the City Palace is being rebuilt. At Alexanderplatz, you will find numerous shopping opportunities.

From here, you are taken to the bus stop at the Radisson hotel on Karl-Liebknecht-Straße, where you have the opportunity to begin the combo tour by boat.

With the combo ticket to the AquaDom and SEA LIFE Berlin, you can skip the line and save yourself both time and money at the ticket office. The Berlin Cathedral, the burial place of the Hohenzollern, is also located here. See the New Synagogue on Oranienburger Straße in the distance and reach the wonderful Hackesche Höfe by foot.

Continue on along the boulevard Unter den Linden to Museum Island and then to the bus stop at Unter den Linden 36 where you can get tickets to Tipi, a theater in a tent by the Federal Chancellery. Pass by the ZDF studio and continue on to Unter den Linden 74, the home of Madame Tussauds. Have your photo taken with one of the lovingly crafted celebrity wax figures.

Pass by the British and Russian embassies on the way to the Brandenburg Gate and see the Holocaust Memorial and the embassy of the United States of America along the way. The bus stop is located at Platz des 18. März.

See the Reichstag building and explore the government district before heading to Berlin Central Station. From there, you have a wonderful view of the Federal Chancellery and the Reichstag building, and it is even possible to see “Mount Fujiyama.”

The route continues on through the “green lungs” of Berlin – Tiergarten – to the “pregnant oyster” – as the Berliners call the House of World Cultures. The Tipi theater is also located here, with a beer garden open in the afternoons. From here, take a look at the work in the Federal Chancellery. Continue on to Bellevue Palace, the official residence of the Federal President and, from here, the Victory Column is just 2 minutes away. On your way back to Kurfürstendamm, you will briefly stop at Zoologischer Garten station, the old main station in West Berlin.
