The guide started with a history lesson of the last 8 centuries to help to understand the background to The Troubles. Stories were told at key places which led to understanding of the escalation over 30 years. This then led into an explanation of the peace process and the good friday agreement and how Brexit may affect the future in the light of the past-ie it raised the possibilty if a united ireland.. or not.. A very unbiased fascinatining experience i needed to have to understand what it means to be British. Mark was outstanding and fully engaging. Value for money and I would recommend this tour. Take a hot drink with you on a cold day.

I highly endorse this Tour led by Mark. He is an excellent teacher and speaker. Though raised in Belfast, he was careful to make his speaking clear. This is a tour for people who want to understand the history behind the period of the Troubles from the late 60's to the 90's.

Absolutely fantastic. I was lucky enough to enjoy Paul Donnelly's insight into the tragic underbelly of life during The Troubles in Central Belfast because of Paul's knowledge, intelligence, passion, neutrality & articulate communication skills - absolutely riveting. The 2 hours 45 minutes passed in no time - we hardly even noticed the bitter cold!
