I had a great day on Chinese Great Wall. I was lucky to have a guide whose name was Claire, she was helpful, kind and happy person. It was easy to communicate with her. Started from the meeting point in Beijing and throughout all the way everything was on high level, was well-organized. I definitely recommend to take tour of this company. Great job MUBUS team and many thanks!

  • Tiananmen, Forbidden City, Temple of Heaven & Summer Palace

    2. Tiananmen, Forbidden City, Temple of Heaven & Summer Palace

See the main imperial sights of Beijing on a comprehensive coach tour, starting with an early morning pick-up from your city center hotel and a transfer to Tian'anmen Square. Marvel at the monuments that pay testament to China’s communist regime and the Maoist influence on the nation's modern day history. One of the largest public squares in the world, Tian’anmen Square contains the monuments to the heroes of the revolution, the National Museum of China and the Chairman Mao Zedong Memorial Hall. You will not enter the Square, but your guide will show and explain all these monuments from the distance. Next, enter the Forbidden City, the largest and best-preserved of the imperial palaces. The Forbidden City was the Chinese imperial palace from the Ming dynasty to the end of the Qing dynasty (1420 to 1912) and the complex exemplifies traditional Chinese palatial architecture. You will hav...

We had a small group of tourists during winter so it was a good size to move quickly and explore the highlights of each places. Vik was our guide, fluent in English. The Summer Palace was my favorite and I’m glad that Vik took us to the entrance near the iconic bridge. We were given 1 hour to explore. I would’ve wished it was at least 2 hours coz the land area was so huge. Lunch was good. The coach we used while it’s on time and clean enough, it had a strong smell of cigarette smoke in it. As indicated in the itinerary, there were 2 shopping stops for this tour.

After your visit to the Great Wall, you’ll continue on to a restaurant near the Ming Tombs for a traditional Chinese lunch. Next, head to Tiananmen Square, the largest city square in the world. Marvel at its expanse before heading on to the Forbidden City, the final stop on the tour. The Royal Palace at the Forbidden City is the world’s largest royal palace. Spend around 2 hours exploring this vast site before the transfer back to your hotel. • Great Wall Hiking: Small Group

    4. Great Wall Hiking: Small Group

your guide will meet you at 8am and then drive to Simatai West. You will start the hiking around 10:30am, and it will take about 3 hours to complete. A lunch at a local farmer’s restaurant will be organized after the hiking before returning to the city. This section offers arguably the finest hiking anywhere on the Great Wall. It is extremely photogenic, with over 15 watch-towers, and steep gradients that give constantly changing perspectives and wide, open views. There is fascinating variety in the watch-towers here. Some have two storeys, others three. Some have flat roofs, others rounded and others again are pitched with upturned eaves. This section of the wall is wild, ruined, preserved and original. On a clear day, it is difficult to fail to take good photographs here.

What an amazing day! We had wonderfully blue skies and very little wind on our hike from Simatai to Jinshanling. Tau was a fantastic guide. He provided great insight to the wall, region, history, and peoples. He made sure everyone was comfortable with the pace and had plenty of time for photos whenever we liked. Mind you, there are a lot of stairs to climb on this 15 tower trek, but they are doable and so worth it. ADDED BONUS: I didn’t expect too much from the included lunch after reading previous reviews, but it was one of our favorite meals during our stay in China! Highly recommended!

  • From Beijing: Great Wall at Mutianyu Half-Day Hiking Trip

    5. From Beijing: Great Wall at Mutianyu Half-Day Hiking Trip

After pick-up by your guide at your hotel, make the 1.5-hour drive to the Great Wall at Mutianyu. Have a rest and enjoy a delicious lunch at a local restaurant. You'll then have two options for travelling up and down the wall: round-trip cable car or chairlift, or by toboggan. Take 7 minutes to reach the top of the wall (instead of the 45 minutes it takes to go by foot up the steps!). The cable car ascends to and descends from the 14th watchtower, from where you can walk east to the 23rd watchtower, the most beautiful part of the Mutianyu section of the Great Wall. The cable car will take you to the 6th watch tower - recommended for those in great physical condition, as the hike to the 23rd watchtower from the 6th is more difficult. Spend the day exploring this truly extraordinary Wall that has captured the imagination of the world for centuries. After returning to the foot of the Grea...

Just amazing and has to be done. Our guide Jin made it so much more worthwhile to hike and enjoy a wonder of the world.

Roy was an excellent guide and very good at managing a large crowd of tourists. His instructions were clear as he’s fluent in English. I really enjoyed the tour as he briefly explained the history of the wall and materials used to glue them together. Buffet was sumptuous, lots of veggies. No shopping stops which I appreciated so the whole time was dedicated in exploring the walls and other attractions like cable car and toboggan. This tour is highly recommended.
