Tour all the must-see sites of Beijing on a full-day coach excursion. See man-made wonders, such as the Great Wall of China, Tian'anmen Square, and the splendid palaces of the Forbidden City.
What to Expect
Enjoy a full-day exploring the top attractions of the historic city of Beijing. Travel by coach, with a hotel pick-up between 07:00 and 08:30, and head for the world-famous Tian'anmen Square.
Also known as the “Gate of Heavenly Peace,” the imposing square is the gateway to the historic Forbidden City. As the world’s largest city square, Tian'anmen Square is of great cultural significance, and has been the site of several key events in Chinese history.
Move on to the magnificent Forbidden City. The old imperial palace is the largest and most complete collection of traditional architecture and court treasures from all the Chinese dynasties. You will have approximately 2 hours to wander around the Forbidden City, exploring the central axis from south to north.
Then drive to the Mutianyu section of the Great Wall, the longest and best fully-restored part of the Great Wall. With less crowds and more watchtowers, enjoy the Wall at your own pace. You can also take a cable car up and down the mountain at your own expense.
On the way back you will visit a traditional Chinese pharmacy, where you will learn a little about traditional Chinese medicine and enjoy a free foot massage. Afterwards, you will be transferred back to your hotel in Beijing around 18.00.
