What to Expect
For this day tour, the tour guide and driver will pick you up from the hotel at around 07:30am or 08:00am. Driving to visit the Forbidden City-world's largest and best-preserved imperial palace complex, it was the imperial palace for twenty-four emperors during the Ming and Qing dynasties. Now known as the Palace Museum, it is to the north of Tiananmen Square. Nowadays, it is open to tourists from home and abroad. Splendid painted decoration on these royal architectural wonders, the grand and deluxe halls, with their surprisingly magnificent treasures will certainly satisfy 'modern civilians'.
Lunch will be served at the Jade Carving Artistic Center, and you will have time to visit the Jade factory. In the afternoon, continue to visit Badaling Great Wall, which is one of the greatest man-made projects on earth. On the dragon-like winding wall, you will appreciate beacon towers lying at some advantageous strategic forts as well as the charming natural scenery at the foot of the wall.
At the end of the tour, drive back to downtown and visit the Traditional Royal Silk Center on the way. Then the tour guide and driver will drop you off at the hotel before 06:00pm.
