Full description
Depart from busy London and head towards the town of Windsor, dominated by the impressive Windsor Castle and favored by the British monarchy since medieval times. Purchase a ticket to visit the castle during the stopover, or explore this quaint river town on your own. Highlights of the town include the shortest street in England and a clock embedded into the pavement. Hop back on the bus and begin the journey to Bath, which was founded by the Romans on the site of a thermal spring. Enjoy free time to wander around the town, admire the pretty Georgian terraces, and grab lunch at a local pub. Alternatively, purchase a ticket to visit the Roman Baths, or go to the Jane Austen Center to learn about the author’s life and work. Continue the tour to the final stop of the day, Stonehenge, a UNESCO listed location. Purchase your tickets at the onsite visitor center, receive an audio guide, and ride the shuttle bus to the main site where you can marvel at the huge monoliths up close. Hear the stories of how they may have been built and what they were used for. Enjoy your time at this incredible site before heading back to London.
