What You'll Do
  • Get insight into life in Bath in the Victorian times
  • Opt to book Mr Darcy's Guided Tour too!
  • Join 'Mr Darcy' for a luncheon/afternoon tea picnic or tea party!
  • Get insight into life in Bath in the Georgian/Regency era and into the life and times of Jane Austen
Mr Darcy looks forward to making your acquaintance over afternoon tea. Find out about life in Georgian times and the Regency era with Jane Austen social etiquette for discerning ladies and gentlemen.
What to Expect
Enjoy a guided tour of Bath's city center, history, and architectural gems, led by Mr. Darcy, a guide costumed in the style of 1813. Mr. Darcy will also cultivate your knowledge of what life was like in Georgian times and the Regency era for Bath's most famous sons and daughters, such as John Wood and Jane Austen.

Your host, Mr. Darcy, will also entertain you with social etiquette lessons for the discerning lady or gentlemen who wishes to make a success of his or her station in life and to make a good impression in high society circles.

Some ladies have commented that Mr. Darcy is an eligible bachelor, but Mr. Darcy is keen to stress that "it is a truth universally acknowledged that a single man in possession of a good fortune... is equally in want of a Bath ale as he is in need of a wife" with whom to share it.

If it tickles your fancy, you are invited to join Mr. Darcy for afternoon tea at the end of your guided tour. Mr. Darcy is also happy to help you book a horse and carriage during your visit to Bath or to arrange tickets for you for the Roman Baths.

Know Before You Go

That's fine but please also text or call the guide after you place your booking with getyourguide (getyourguide will publish our number after you complete booking). We ask you to call or text us, as we do not have a shopfront and wifi signal is very poor, where we work from in city centre, so your booking by email may not be received by us for several hours until after your scheduled start time. Therefore, please just confirm your booking by text or call, if you are booking today for a tour starting also today!

The number we provide starts 020 but it actually reaches our mobile phone number.
