Full description

Join me exploring my Island! Come on an adventurous tour blending driving & hiking with history & culture. Recently renamed Mt Misery now Mount Liamuiga is a stratovolcano that stands tall on the northern end of St Kitts. Come and learn how this volcano has shaped most of our island. Enjoy a scenic drive to a volcano, as you learn of our island passing through our capital city, academic areas, and other communities such as a former slave "free village". Also, uncover a sugar estate and botanical garden. See and enjoy lush mountains while looking at the mostly calm Caribbean Sea. Spend your day with me, who's been referred to as a knowledgeable, witty, personable guide. Also learn about our nature and livestock, such as Vervet Monkeys. Going through some farms and former sugarcane fields, we'll hike from 700 Ft. to approx. 3000 Ft. of height of our volcano's 3, 793 ft. summit. Overlook the volcano's crater, with a panoramic view of the community below, along with a view of the neighboring island's volcano.

My mum and I went on this Trek a few days ago. It was the most amazing jungle I’ve been to. The views were excellent and Janeel was the best guide. There are 7 stops in total on the way up so although the trek up takes a couple of hours there are frequent breaks if needed. My mum was slower going up because she had her hip replaced so DJ (the second guide) took care of her. My mum named him jungle boy because he was so good at guiding her. She made it to the top which was a great achievement for her. It’s a spiritual, challenging trip up through the jungle with jaw dropping views throughout. We were provided a complementary energy drink and loved the homemade banana bread. Take plenty of water and sweets. Be ready to bathe in the sweet sounds and stunning sights of the terrain. Be ready for the challenge but it’s worth it. Highlight of our trip. Thank you Janeel and DJ. From Rachel and Paris

This hike was tough but amazing! It happened to downpour the day we went. This caused literal waterfalls and fast flowing water throughout the hike. Our tour guide Janeel said he never saw anything like this during his years of hiking Mt. Liamuiga. It made the trail more difficult but Janeel and his partner TJ made sure we were all safe. They checked certain parts before they had us cross/climb/hike. They were very knowledgeable, funny, and made a difficult hike so much fun. 100% recommend them!!

Amazing hike. The journey through the monsoon rain was incredible and worth being soaked. Strongly recommend this excursion. Janeel and his brother were great guides. They are a must for this experience. They kept us motivated and entertained throughout the hike even though the rain never seemed to stop. Then again, you are hiking through a rain forest so expect rain. Without them we would have never found our way up and back. Thank you both.
