Full description
Begin by visiting the main attractions of the old town, Basilica of Saint Nicolas with the precious Crypt, the ancient Cathedral of Saint Sabinus, and the millenary Swabian Castle. Stop at several places for tastings. In a Panificio, learn how focaccia barese is made and taste a slice. in a Salumeria, find out about the different kinds of cheeses and salami, while drinking a glass of primitivo wine. In one of the typical corners, discover fried street food and the strong flavours of sgagliozze and panzerotti. In a Gelateria, enjoy the home-made ice cream. Discover the modern French part of the city by the famous sea-side, with its opera theaters and luxury shopping streets, before the end of the tour.

We had a blast! My 15 year old son actually booked this one, and we had a so much fun, and he liked zooming around the city. Our guide, Carlotta was great, and really fun and funny! Very knowledgeable, and gave us lots of interesting info and tasty treats along the way. We happened upon a Good Friday processional which was fun to watch, and I loved seeing the street with the women selling pasta. Highly recommend this tour and guide.

The tour was very nice and Francesco was a great tour guide. He gave us much information about Bari’s old town. The focaccia at “Panificio fiore” was one of the street food highlights in Bari. We can recommend this tour to all guys who want to get in touch with local food and who are also curious to get more information about Bari’s highlights, while cruising trough the city on a Segway.
