What People Are Saying About Barcelona
Very nice and friendly guide. Asked all of our questions and made the experience even better. Really would recommend everyone to go with a guide. Adds alot of flavor to the experience. Saved alot of time by passing the lines as well :)
The museum is an eye-opener with many of Picasso's early paintings, showing his obvious early talents. Not very many paintings from my favorite period, the Blue period. Our guide knew her art history and enlightened our understanding of Picasso's work. My wife had hurt her back and struggled during the tour. Our guide, was able to get her a wheelchair and she slowed down the tour to accommodate my wife's physical pain. An intelligent and kind guide.
I went with my entire family, including four young nieces all of whom are very eager learners! They asked plenty of questions, and our guide was very patient and answered every single one of them. Not once did she appear annoyed. Her name was Nuría and I definitely recommend you to take the tour with her! This is my second time visiting the Sagrada Familia, but the first time I decided to only do the self-tour. The tour with Nuría definitely made for a much better experience!
The guided tour of the Pedrera was out of this world. It was made all the more interesting and worthwhile with the amazing tour guide we had.. she was very engaging and extremely passionate about Gaudi's work. It was totally worth every penny spent. Stunning musical/visual show. A must do at night time.
Here is where you will have the clearest view of Gaudi's genius and anticipating views. If you happen to visit Tuscany in Italy we suggest taking the chance to visit the 'giardino dei tarocchi' in Capalbio - by a more contemporary French artist, possibly inspired by Gaudi and the modernism in my view.
