They might be one of the most enjoyable ways of seeing a city, but Barcelona's historic streets aren't always Segway-friendly. Here are the places to go for a "funmissable" time on two wheels!
Park Güell may be Gaudí's gift to the city, but it's all steps, hills, and winding lanes. Stick to the traditionally scenic Ciutadella and admire its stunning lakes and fountains.
Cruise the Passeig de Lluís Companys from Ciutadella Park to Barcelona's triumphal arch. It wasn't built for a war victory at all, but as the gate to the 1888 Universal Exposition!
If you really want to see some Gaudí on your tour, you might find the area around Sagrada Família too crowded. Instead, tour Gaudí's Casa Milà along with many other magical buildings on the Passeig de Gràcia.
The broad streets of Barcelona's gorgeous seafront make it perfect for Segway fun and frolics! Just make sure your tour takes in this 14th century coastal church.
Purpose-built for the 1992 Olympics, this modern district still showcases some of the city's most striking buildings. It's also great for that clumsy first Segway outing!
Prices for Barcelona Segway tours start at €29 (per person) and can cost up to €79, largely dependent on the length of the tour and the Segway models offered. However, be aware that you may be required to leave a deposit on the machines.
Children must be over 10 to participate and must be accompanied by an adult. Individuals lighter than 45kg (100lbs) or heavier than 118kg (260lbs) should mention this upon booking, so that the tour provider can offer more precise information and guidance on the machines' weight limitations.

What People Are Saying About Barcelona
Me and my son got the contact details from a family member recently and thought it's a must do. Well we were not disappointed, we had a great guide by the name of Phil...he had a lot of knowledge and kindly shared it with us plus we went to parts of Barcelona that we may not have explored on foot. There office is located in the old town and is a street off of the la rambla....not to difficult to navigate. The only negative was my hands got cold, they do give u gloves but u might wanna prepare if goin in winter.
Segways are a fun way to get around, and can cover a lot of territory. David our guide was very knowledgeable and passionate about his work. Thank you!
I definitely recommend this activity - easy, fun, informative, reasonable priced.
My son and I had a good time on the segway, but I wouldn't recommend this company. The welcome was not really warm, the guy behind the desk hardly spoke a word to us. The German guide we asked for (so my son could understand it) turned out to be a Pakistan who had lived for 3 months in Vienna, he was actually from another segway company (the company with the black segways). He was really really lovely and tried to do his best in German. The tour ended with pain because my segway stopped operating halfway the tour and I flew over and landed painfully. The guy from the desk came with a new segway, said sorry but didn't look sorry. So.... book another segway tour, hope you will get ther Pakistani boy, his English is good and he is really nice and knows Barcelona!
The location is very difficult to find because it is in the old town of Barcelona and even the cab drivers don't know their way around there. But with a good map, you can do it and it is well worth the effort. The tour is fun & informative.
