Full description
Escape the hustle and bustle of Barcelona for the day on a full-day trip to Girona and Figueres, two of the most scenic towns of the Costa Brava. First, visit the historic town of Girona to see Roman remains and medieval buildings. Lose yourself in a labyrinth of narrow streets, and travel through the best-preserved Jewish Quarter in Europe. Marvel at Girona Cathedral and the widest Gothic nave in the world. Then, see the colorful houses along the River Onyar. Go to the top of Girona’s medieval walls for panoramic views. Next, transfer to Figueres near the border with France, and experience one of the main destinations of the so-called “Dalí Triangle.” Explore the birthplace of Salvador Dalí, and enter some of the places he frequented as an adult. Go to the Dalí Museum, designed by Dalí himself on the ruins of an old municipal theater. Our group consisted of three adults and five teens ranging from 13-18. We booked this tour as a final day trip at the end of our two-week Christmas trip through Spain and Italy. This was a fantastic tour - I cannot say enough positive things about it. Our guide, Gaspar, was so knowledgeable and eloquent. We walked away from the Dali museum with a real appreciation for the artist. Gaspar was sensitive to providing the right level of detail and he captured even those who were not Dali fans prior to the trip. The trip to Gerona was equally appealing. The town is amazing and Gaspar gave us all a real sense for the long history of the city. It was very moving to think of the all of the people who have walked the streets throughout ancient history. (Bonus if you are a Game of Thrones fa - much of Season 6 was filmed here.). Do this tour and request Gaspar if you can. You won’t be sorry.

Great and interesting tour thanks to highly proffesional, polite, and funny tour guide Vicente, and of course the beautiful scenery and museum that we visited. The van in which we were driven was really clean and nice, and the driver Joaquin drove with special care and professionalism. Also the other people on the tour were really nice and cool. All in all it was a really great experience, which me and my 2 kids abaolutely loved. 10/10 would recommend!

We would recommend this tour to everyone! Our tour guide, Andre, was so knowledgeable and friendly! We've learned soooo much from him!!! The entire trip was so well organized. He picked us up at a hotel at the scheduled time and shared tons of information during the entire day. Andre was definitely a go to person for all questions about Dali and the rich history of Girona. The whole experience that day was priceless! If you decide to take this tour, you won't regret it!
