What to Expect
Experience Barcelona at night as you head to the historical quarter of La Ribera in the Old Town. Enjoy a progressive dinner at 3 charming restaurants, tasting typical Spanish tapas. Later in the evening you’ll take in a top-quality flamenco show in a historic setting.
A great way of getting to know a new city is to enjoy its food with local people. On this tour you’ll have a chance to enjoy the delicious Spanish gastronomic jewels known as tapas. The word tapas literally means covers and comes from the original use of this type of food, which was to cover the drink in the glass below.
After enjoying the tapas you’ll see a flamenco show. Flamenco was born in 18th-century Andalucía, and it’s generally believed that the mixture of cultures in Andalucía, which included Muslims, gypsies, Castillian immigrants, and Jews, was the key to the creation of this music style.
Following the performance your guide will show you the highlights of the medieval quarter of El Born. Walk through the charming streets of this old fishermen's neighborhood admiring the palaces of Montcada Street as well as The Cathedral of the Poor.
