Full description
On this full-day excursion you’ll make an early start from Barcelona and soon be in the medieval Catalan village of Baga, surrounded by the rocky peaks of Cadi-Moixero National Park. Explore Baga’s central square and medieval church before crossing the border into France, where you will stop in the charming and beautiful ancient spa town of Ax-Les-Thermes. Your guide will recommend some of the best natural fountains to visit, and those best suitable for soaking your feet in. You'll then have free time to enjoy the healing waters, browse the local artisan shops and look out for a souvenir to remember your visit. After an hour of wandering around this typical French village, its time to choose from one of the many local restaurants for a traditional French lunch.  After lunch, you’ll take the scenic route over the Pyrenees Alps into neighboring Andorra, to the capital Andorra la Vella. You will have a little bit of time to visit Andorra la Vella’s tax-free shops for bargain-priced wine and souvenirs On the return drive, admire the Romanesque church of St. Climent and the stunning valley views before continuing on your way back to Barcelona, arriving in time for pre-dinner drinks and tapas or whatever else your evening holds.

I enjoyed my guides profuse knowledge of Spain, France and Andorra. If you want to feel transported into a new adventure this is a must see tour! We saw snow on the Pyrenees and stopped to make snowballs. One of the tour mates had never seen snow, so she sent her mother a picture of herself in the snow! So, many postcard views, it was fabulous!

Visited in Dec 2019. What a great experience. I traveled alone as a solo female, and everyone was very friendly and I felt safe the whole time. I felt I got plenty of time in Andorra, we even stopped to play in the snow for a little bit. Got some time for shopping in the city, though when you're only in a country for a day you'd rather see the historical sites, right!? I walked to see the church and got a fried pastry. The river was lovely. Also, stopping in France was very cute. We got time for lunch, which was delicious (you pick where to eat). The first stop in Spain was also lovely, we had time to get some hot chocolate if we wanted and had a walking tour.

This is a great way to see the mountains and Andorra. Our guide, Marta, was amazing and had so much knowledge. My only recommendation would be to research some things to do in the capital of Andorra before you go as you will have an hour or so of free time to wander.
