What People Are Saying About Barcelona
This tour was amazing! My guide from Amigos Tours, Sasha was so energic and friendly even though this was an early morning tour! She was super excited and enthusiastic about everything which made the tour that much more interesting and special! To my suprise I was the only one who showed up for this tour (off season) and the company was awesome enough to still run the tour just for me at no extra cost! The drive up was absolutely stunning as you drive through the mountains and clouds! Being the early morning tour we were the first ones there and had the whole place to ourselves! The views were amazing and I would definitely recommend doing the walk out to St. Michaels Cross. This tour was the highlight of my trip to Barcelona as it is such a unique area and unlike anything I have ever seen before!
We only had about 15 minutes to see the jewel museum after seeing the paintings and scuptures. The driver got lost in Figueres on the way to the museum. That cost about 20 minutes.Other than that, the tour was a terrific experience. I would say it was a highlight of our stay in Barcelona.
The museum is an eye-opener with many of Picasso's early paintings, showing his obvious early talents. Not very many paintings from my favorite period, the Blue period. Our guide knew her art history and enlightened our understanding of Picasso's work. My wife had hurt her back and struggled during the tour. Our guide, was able to get her a wheelchair and she slowed down the tour to accommodate my wife's physical pain. An intelligent and kind guide.
The booking and scheduling was easy. Finding the location easy, the coach comfortable and the driving smooth. The guide's information was basic, and the onland tour was rushed and not having a touring guide around the facility, a lot of precious time was wasted.
Our guide Carlos made our walking tour & Picasso Museum visit so interesting & informative. He is a fabulous guide whose obvious passion for Picasso exudes with every sentence. I can highly recommend doing this activity, especially if you have Carlos as your guide
