Start your day with a convenient pick-up from your Barahona located accommodation. Here, your friendly and professional guide be waiting for you and after a short meet and greet, you will take a scenic drive along the coastal road with sweeping panoramic views. You pass by Los Patos, well renowned amongst the locals as one of the best swimming locations in the area. Continue on your journey to the small port and fishing village of Cabo Rojo. At the Port your boat awaits you, ready to take you on a cruise of island discovery.  Enjoy a boat ride across crystal clear waters for 15-minutes whilst taking in the picturesque island views. Once you have finished your boat ride you will arrive at the Bahía de las Aguilas (Eagle Bay). Eagle Bay is an 8-km stretch of pure white sand beach that is situated in a National Park. Experience an exceptional coastal landscape the likes of which you have never seen with crystal-clear waters that are shades of turquoise and opal-blue. Start your day driving south along the scenic coastal road with panoramic views over the bay of Barahona towards Oviedo Lagoon. Situated in the Jaragua National Park this saltwater lake is the second largest body of water in the Dominican Republic. It is home to about 60 species of water birds and consist of 22 islands of different sizes and vegetation. After a short walk along the shore of the lagoon, you will reach a small pier where you will jump into a boat and enjoy the natural beauty of the lagoon from a different point of view. Stop at one of the islands, where you will have the change to see some iguanas as you make your way across the small island. Reach an outpost with cacti dominating the scenery and enjoy a perfect view over the lagoon, the Jaragua National Park, the Caribbean Sea and the mountains of Bahoruco. After pickup from your hotel, enjoy a picturesque drive to the Lago Enriquillo area, one of the most beautiful regions in the country. The lake is the lowest point in the country and lies about 40 meters below sea level. Take a boat trip on the lake to admire the scenery up close. Today you discover the area in the eastern part of the Sierra de Bahoruco mountain range. After being picked up in a off road vehicle you will be taken along a scenci coastal road all the way to the only Larimar Mine in the world. Discovered in 1974 this precious gemstone nowadays is one of the most typical souvenirs you can find to take home. Once you arrive at the mine you have a walk through the small village and can take a look inside the mine itself (on your own risk). Please make sure to bring suitable non-slip shoes for the climb. Visiting the larimar workshop you have the opportunity to buy (not includede in the tour) your own Larimar stone to take home. Your way continues to start a hike on a botanical trail in La Cienaga. You will be marvelled by the impressive biodiversity you will experience all the way until reaching the cave of Cueva de la Virgen. Your way leads along a river and you will be walking across it, therefore please make sure to bring shoes that can get wet.
