Enjoy Thailand’s picturesque countryside on a boat tour along one of the many canals at Damnoen Saduak. Experience the local Thai lifestyle and the daily bustle of a popular floating market, where vendors sell all sorts of local produce and handicrafts.
What to Expect
This 5-hour tour begins with a hotel pick-up, and then a 68-mile drive through scenic Samut Songkram province, where you’ll get a glimpse at the timeless lifestyle of the Thais who live along the canals.
Before arriving at the floating market, you’ll stop by a coconut farm for a look at the local sugar-making process. After that you’ll continue your journey past the homes of locals who live in houses on the water. Many people here are farmers, and use the canal waters in this naturally fertile area for irrigation and transportation.
Cruise along the scenic canals on your way to the famous floating market. Here, boats fill the water, carrying the fruits of local labor, with wares and farm-fresh produce from the fertile Thai soil. Shop and see if anything catches your attention before returning to your Bangkok hotel.
