  • Witness professional crocodile trainers ‘play’ with their leathered friends
  • Walk around one of the largest fresh fish markets in Thailand
Overview
The Samut Prakarn Crocodile Farm and Zoo is an internationally renowned crocodile zoo and breeding center, just outside of Bangkok. These tropical animals are the head line of not only protecting these from extinction but also part of an amazing show.
What to Expect
Operated only in the morning, you will be picked up from your hotel and driven in east, outside of the city center of Bangkok and into the Samut Prakan province. Home to some major industries, it is also home of the largest crocodile park and zoo of its kind in the world.

Located outside of Bangkok, the Samut Prakan Crocodile Farm and Zoo is the largest facility of its kind and home to about 60,000 crocodiles. The crocodiles multiply freely in the cleverly simulated habitat. There are plenty of opportunities around to learn more about these mysterious animals, especially about the breeding techniques used here to keep the various species of crocodiles from extinction. Highlights of this excursion include several shows throughout the day where men risk life and limb by wrestling crocodiles with their bare hands. Besides housing the largest crocodile in captivity (Yai who is 6 meters long and weighs 115 kilograms), the facility boasts an expansive zoo populated with monkeys, tigers, hippos, bears, elephants and many other tropical creatures.

After this visit and seeing the daredevils playing around with crocodiles, your next visit is again impressive in size yet on another level. Wedged between Bangkok and the mouth of the Chao Phraya River in Samut Prakan province, the small but colorful city of Pak Nam is home to one of Thailand’s largest fresh seafood markets and the fish trade is almost a 24/7 business here.

You will then be returned to your hotel in Bangkok, where you will arrive at around 12:30 hrs.
