Full description
This 3-hour bike tour of Bangkok is ideal for enthusiastic adventurers and those who want to extend their knowledge of Bangkok to its extensive Chinatown, historic capital of Thonburi and hidden backstreets. Starting in the heart of Chinatown, the 3-hour tour explores the frenetic market environment, winding through narrow streets and alleyways. Your senses will come alive to the sights, sounds, and smells of a vibrant community in motion. We will pass by shop houses selling everything from Buddhist amulets to recycled truck engines. Locals worshiping at hidden temples, ritual paper burnings, and the omnipresent spirit house display evidence of a culture that has been centuries in the making. Cross the Chao Phraya River, with majestic views of the city skyline behind you, and visit Thonburi, the historic third capital of Thailand. Contrasting chaotic Chinatown, peaceful elements of local Thai life abound as you cycle through diverse residential communities. Inquisitive smiles and friendly greetings reinforce the feeling that you have truly left behind the beaten path and are now experiencing the authentic Thailand on this thrilling tour of a Bangkok less well-known.

Sandra was amazing, knowledgeable, and picked some beautiful routes through Chinatown, and the temple areas, as well as some off the beaten path routes that led to interesting people and places. It was nice to see how the city worked and how the people come together for worship, food markets, to preparation of gifts to the temples and Buddha's.

It was so much fun. Very well organised. Our group had 3 guides, one in front, one in the middle and one at the end, so no one got lost. Crossing the street, 2 of the guides were blocking the traffic. We always felt safe. It is not at all stressful, lots of breaks, where we got drinks and snacks and had the opportunity to take pictures. We loved it!

The bike tour itself is well run! The course is definitely off the beaten path, maybe a bit more than we expected. Would have liked to see more updates f the city and less of the very back alleys of motor parts, etc. With that said, they have other tours outside the city center that I would definitely try next time!
